Hardtails are the last word in versatility. Take on trails as technical as you dare. Load up with bags and racks and pedal into the wilds. From overnight bivi adventures to round the world epics a hardtail just keeps on trucking.

In the last 10 years we have made a lot of custom hardtails. 10 years of framebuilding experience. 30 years of hacking around in the woods on steel hardtails. All distilled into this bike. Designed for the mountains. Of course. Modern geometry to take on everything you can throw at it. Mounting points galore. 120mm travel forks. Fillet brazed and wet painted.

BUILD Details

All dimensions are static, based on 120mm travel fork, 531mm axle to crown and 29x2.4 tyres.

Choose our house special full build for no-nonsense performance and reliability out in the hills. Mechanical shifting, carbon rims and legendary Hope brakes. With this build you just need to choose: Crank length; What pedals you would like; What colour you would like the Hope parts. But if you would like to change out any part just let us know. Prefer AXS wireless shifting or Ohlins forks? No problem. We love full custom builds. You tell us the parts you want and we will handle the rest

For this bike we use a selection of Columbus and Dedacciai tubes to give the perfect balance between ride comfort and that famous steel zing.

In house wet paint comes as standard. Choose from one of our 3 favourite combinations:

Papaya Yellow with black logos and lettering.
Metallic British Racing Green with yellow logos and lettering.
Pearl blue with silver logos and lettering.
Logos and lettering are all painted, no stickers here.

Alternatively you can go for full custom paint. Full custom paint pricing upon request.

This is a bike for adventures. You will almost certainly want some bags on there.

For oﬀ the shelf bags and racks you can’t go wrong with Tailfin. However if you would like something more special and custom made we have some friends who can help. We highly recommend Patch at Collins Cycle Works and Caroline at Koba Bikepacking. We can arrange everything so your bike is ready to be collected with bags installed. Just bring your stuﬀ, load up the bike and pedal oﬀ into the hills.

We think this bike is bang on as it is. But this is still a Selwyn bike. We are not shipping these things in from Taiwan. I make every frame, to order, with the same skill and attention to detail as our full custom frames.
That means that we can adapt your frame to your requirements. Some possible custom options include:

T47 Bottom Bracket
Sliding dropouts
Rear pannier rack mounts
Custom geometry.
Cable routing can be adjusted to your taste.
Extra or fewer mounting points

Any custom options may take longer and cost a little more but building one bike at a time allows
us to make the best bike for you.
